The little guys are OK, thanks to my old style Samsonite.
In these last 2 weeks, life is somewhat in slow motion here: temperature is always above 34° C from 8 AM to 10 PM, and - air conditioning in the office apart - my brain works only from 6 to 8 AM. Therefore I am making only very few and slow progresses for 61-65 and other projects.
I'll be on holidays from august 7th to 22nd, hope to do much of the work in those 2 weeks :)

Luggage found!
My precious baggage has been found. I'll go collect it myself (it's safer...) today.
Hope the little guys are in a good shape :)

No words
After 2 weeks from my return from US, I still did not receive my luggage, which arrived in Rome on the 29th. Inside it, there are at least 7 squads for SDS, and the 2 ACW Companies I used for the demo of 61-65, PLUS a couple of Andrea's armies in 15mm.
I cannot find the words to express my frustration: I called 11 times and sent a compliance note without any result.......

Pics from Spilamberto
Here are some pics from the Tournament in Spilamberto last sunday. Above, one of the 4 rounds in progress.
Some players writing down a copy of their Squad lists just before the Tournament, and (below) me updating the results on the PC (even with air conditioning it was a HOT day :)
Thanks to Massimo for the pics!

ACW 28mm miniatures
With the aim of enlarging my 61-65 Companies, I'm looking for miniatures producers in Europe (not in the US or Australia due to shipping costs). I've seen Foundry and Renegade but the former sells in big numbers and the latter does not accept Paypal. What I'd need is a company selling singles (like Front Rank for example).
Any hint?

Spilamberto tournament results
It was a great day yesterday at Spilamberto.
18 players from 7 different clubs, perfect timing (4th round ended at 4.45 PM) and the much needed air conditioning (39° Celsius outside)...
My congratulations to the Organizers of this Con for their kindness, efficiency and skill: all went smoothly and without any kind of inconvenient.
As for the results, once again Marco Gasbarri was the winner, but this time it was very tight (just 1 point more than his Club mate David Casagrande). Placing 3 out of 4 members in the first 3 places, the Club "Compagnia della Chimera" from Arezzo is clearly the strongest at the moment.
Here are the final results
1. Marco Gasbarri Arezzo 2390
2. David Casagrande Arezzo 2389
3. Alessandro Salini Arezzo 1873
4. Antonio Pietra Pavia 1612
5. Max Salvagnini Firenze 1537
6. Massimo Gaffuri Pavia 1435
7. Marco Coccia Terni 1375
8. Filippo Simoncini Firenze 1279
9. Fabio Ciofini Arezzo 1165
10. Massimo Moscarelli Roma 1098
11. Roberto Bagna LaSpezia 1003
12. Diego Chisena Roma 938
13. Walter Vegli Firenze 925
14. Maurizio Cisotto Pavia 887
15. Andrea Sfiligoi 622
16. Paolo Blasi Roma 514
17. Andrea Ferrini Firenze 433
18. Andrea Tognozzi Firenze 267
First 3 classified received a cup, and Alessandro Salini won the prize for the best painted couple of Squads. Pictures ASAP, stay tuned.... :)

SDS at Jester Games
Last sunday (june 27th) our friends of the X LEGIO club (Milan) had a demo table at Immagina/Jester Games, a Con taking place in Luino. Above you can see them with the (very nice) table they prepared.
X LEGIO should be organizing the 3rd SDS Tournament valid for the Italian Championship in september. More about this ASAP.
Stay tuned...
